Exploring the Life Cycle of a Honey Bee

Some people see bees as a pest control problem, and others are fascinated by the way they function and interact. A honey bee will go through significant changes throughout its life. Check out this video if you’d like to explore a honey bee’s life cycle.

All honey bees start off as eggs, but they only stay in their eggs for 3 days. At that point, the bee will become a larva, which will grow for another 6 days. 3 days later, the larva becomes a pupa, and over the next week the larva will form its eyes, legs, and antennae. After 21 days have passed, an adult bee will be fully formed.
